Tesla, GM, Uber denied relief from U.S. tariffs on China goods

The White House, citing ‘Made in China 2025’ or other industrial programs, is expanding efforts to block the use of the country’s technology in advanced vehicles, denying additional requests by Tesla for tariff relief on key EV parts, and rejecting Uber’s petition to waive duties on electric scooters and at least 50 separate GM petitions.
