After a decade as Sanford’s mayor, Jeff Triplett resigned in June to run for Seminole County Property Appraiser. Triplett’s also a bank executive and says his combination of public and private business experience make him a better candidate than incumbent David Johnson. Johnson was first elected in 2004 and the office has more than kept up with the county’s booming growth, and done it efficiently and controversy-free. There’s no reason he should not keep his job.
