More automakers meet automatic emergency braking commitment

The voluntary commitment was negotiated by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and NHTSA in 2015. Under the agreement, 20 automakers pledged to voluntarily equip at least 95 percent of new light-duty cars and trucks with the crash-avoidance technology by September 2022.
