It’s almost time for another private company to send people into space. The Jeff Bezos-owned company Blue Origin launched its New Shepard rocket on its 14th flight Thursday as the company nears its goal of human spaceflight.
The FAA signed an order for harsher penalties against unruly airline passengers in response to “recent, troubling incidents.”
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said the new rules would exempt from certain crash standards automated vehicles that are designed to carry only goods, not people.
Acting U.S. Attorney Audrey Strauss in New York said: “Toyota shut its eyes to the noncompliance, failing to provide proper training, attention, and oversight to its Clean Air Act reporting obligations.”
