Unemployment claims in Florida jump 47%
Claims for unemployment benefits in Florida jumped to 57,824 for the week ending Jan. 23, according to data released Thursday by the US. Department of Labor. The increase was recorded as jobless claims nationwide decreased by more than 100,000 — a 10% drop.
