Consumers have a short window to install rooftop solar and be grandfathered in under current net metering rates now that the Florida Legislature has ignored solar advocates’ pleas to reject a bill pushed by Florida Power & Light that reduces electricity buyback rates, and thus incentives for rooftop solar installation.
