Star sighting: Randy Moss fishing at Disney World
Former NFL star and current ESPN football analyst Randy Moss took a little time from a family vacation to do some bass fishing near Disney’s Contemporary Resort. He also had a Goofy encounter on shore before trying his luck on Bay Lake.
Moss, a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, snagged several large-mouth bass while on a guided bass fishing tour, a catch-and-release excursion near Magic Kingdom theme park.
“Here in Florida where it’s hot all year round, these bass sort of stay on the same pattern. So being able to get here on Walt Disney World where they don’t get to see a lot of lures? I had a great day,” Moss said in a video released by Disney.
Moss was exploring Central Florida theme parks with friends and family.
“I’m a big kid at heart also, so just being able to see the characters and just seeing my kids interact with the characters, that’s always a great time,” he said.
Moss spent 14 seasons as a wide receiver in the NFL. He played for the Minnesota Vikings, Oakland Raiders, New England Patriots, Tennessee Titans and San Francisco 49ers before retiring after the 2012 season.
Disney World guests have access to fishing excursions and other recreational activities. For details about fishing and boating excursions at the resort, go to takemefishing.org.
