Consumer Financial Protection Bureau: Unfair for lender to keep excess interest on ‘power-booked' auto loan

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau has told at least one auto lender to stop keeping excess amounts collected from borrowers in situations where a car dealership has been caught inflating vehicle value by reporting nonexistent features, a practice known as “power booking.”
