Orlando Science Center sets $12 admission for this Sunday
Sunday will be $12 Day at Orlando Science Center, where admission will be 12 bucks for the day.
That ticket allows access to all four levels of the Loch Haven Park museum, including the current exhibit called “The Science of Guinness World Records,” which features a giant Pac-Man game and other challenging elements.
The deal coincides with the center’s Fairy Tale Weekend, which emphasizes STEM learning inspired by fantasy books. It’s also Teddy Bear Affair, sponsored by Nemours Children’s Health, during which folks are able to bring a stuffed animal in for a check-up; plus, on Sept. 22 only, Orlando Ballet will present story-time sessions based on “Peter Pan” with dancers and characters at 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.
Earlier this year, Orlando Science Center opened “Life,” a multimillion-dollar addition that presents three ecosystems — rainforest, ocean and swamp — and their inhabitants, such as tamarins, a sloth, birds, turtles, squirrels and sea life, including sharks and live coral.
Admission to the museum is typically $29.99 ($22.99 for ages 2-11). There are a limited number of tickets available for $12 Day. They are available online at osc.org/12-dollar-day.
