6 Central Florida restaurants shut down last week

Six Central Florida restaurants shut down the week of Nov. 17-23, according to data from the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation.

Orange

LS Garden Of Love at 2723 Silver Star Road in Orlando shut down on Nov. 19. Inspectors found 20 violations, three of which were a high priority for rodent activity, a stop-sale on pickles and other food held at the wrong temperatures. A second inspection the same day found 17 violations. Officials issued time extensions for two high-priority violations. The restaurant met inspection standards.

Volusia

Oudom Thai Restaurant at 217-B N. Woodland Blvd. in DeLand shut down on Nov. 20. Inspectors found 18 violations, five of which were high priorities. Those violations included an employee working with utensils without washing their hands, rodent activity and raw sewage on the kitchen floor. Officials conducted a second inspection on Nov. 21. Inspectors found three violations and issued a time extension for an employee working without washing their hands. The restaurant met inspection standards.

Mimi’s CKIES & CRM BAR, a food truck at 109 Dunlawton Blvd. in Daytona Beach Shores shut down on Nov. 22. Inspectors found seven violations, only one of which was a high priority for not having potable water. A second inspection the same day found zero violations. The food truck complied with the emergency order.

Seminole

Beirut Grill and Deli at 3100 Alafaya Trail Suite 1006 in Oviedo shut down on Nov. 19. Inspectors found 17 violations, five of which were high priorities. Those violations included flying insects, raw food not separated from ready-to-eat food and an expired business license. A second inspection took place on Nov. 20. Inspectors found eight violations and issued time extensions for three. The restaurant met inspection standards.

Osceola

Antojos Boricuas II at 2914 Pleasant Hill Road in Kissimmee shut down on Nov. 19. Inspectors found nine violations, one of which was a high priority for roach activity. Two more inspections took place on Nov. 20. On the first of those inspections, there were three violations. None was a high priority, but the facility remain closed. On the second and final inspection, there were two violations. None was a high priority and the restaurant met inspection standards.

Lake

Magical Meat Boutique at 322 N. Alexander St. in Mount Dora shut down on Nov. 19. Inspectors found 27 violations, four of which were high priorities. Those violations included flying insects, rodent activity and an improperly stored container of medicine. A second inspection took place on Nov. 20. Officials found seven violations and none was a high priority. The restaurant met inspection standards.

Complaints and warnings

Orange County had the top spot for most warnings and other complaints in Central Florida, with 50.

Volusia had 23, Seminole had 21, Brevard had 14, Osceola had six and Lake had four.
