One big thing sets this Isleworth home apart from all the others — a 6,060-square-foot showstopper.

“I think obviously the dominant thing that everybody could see is going to be that it had a full NBA-sized, regulation basketball court indoors,” listing agent Danielle O’Quinn with Wemert Group Realty told GrowthSpotter. “That was a big sort of anomaly feature that you don’t find in most other properties.”

The home on Blanche Cove Dr in Windermere that was designed and built for NBA veteran Tony Snell and his family just sold for $13 million.

Snell was a first-round draft pick by the Chicago Bulls in 2013 and played nine years in the league. His wife, Ashley Snell, launched a self-titled athleisure clothing brand and has a store in Winter Park Village.

Stonebridge Custom Homes built the 14,856-square-foot residence (including the basketball court), which was finished in 2022.

“It’s a really well-designed home, so when I first saw it, it’s just very grand,” O’Quinn told GrowthSpotter. “The way I described it to a lot of people is as an anomaly type of property and home because it has such unique and custom features that were custom built for the people who designed it. It really is something you can’t find elsewhere.”

Public records show the seller as Stone KAP Partners, a California-based LLC, and the buyer as the Griffin Trust. O’Quinn said she could not disclose the name of the buyer.

The exclusive Isleworth community is a popular landing spot for professional athletes, particularly basketball players. Former NBA star Vince Carter lives down the street from the Snells, and Hall-of-Famer Grant Hill is right around the corner. Superstar Shaquille O’Neal built his sprawling mansion here on Lake Butler and sold it in 2021 for $11 million.

The home has six bedrooms and eight bathrooms. Design Specifications did the interior with several unique features including statement lighting.

Even with the large size and a regulation basketball court, O’Quinn said it still felt like a home.

“This house was built and designed to be able to feel like you could actually use all of these spaces that the home had and it never felt too large or anything like that when you’re inside it.”

The home sits on 3.72 acres and has a private dock and clear fencing. The fireworks from all the Disney parks are all visible from the house.

“My favorite thing about the house is the views,” O’Quinn said. “When you walk in, you have just the floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook the water features and the pool in the backyard. They did a really good job in making sure your views to the lake are not obstructed.”

The home was originally listed for $15.5 million and with the sales price of $13 million, O’Quinn said it was one of the most expensive ever sold in the area and shows Central Florida is ripe for the ultra-luxury market.

“This is an anomaly property. Having a full basketball court inside was a feature that’s not as desired. You have a smaller buyers market for that,” she said, adding that was one reason the price was a lower than the asking price. “It still turned out to be a really great sale for my seller.”
