Whether it’s a craft project or home renovation, paint is messy. Even if you put down tarps, blankets, tape, and newspaper, paint splatters and spills. Also, your protective gear can move or rip, which won’t protect your surfaces at all! Paint can easily stain tile and grout.

In most homes, grout is white or a lighter color, which means it can easily show paint, which come in all sorts of colors. Event white paint will be noticeable on white grout. Since it is porous, grout will absorb all the paint. Both dark and light paint can stain easily, and grout can be difficult to clean, so this is a bad combination. With the right grout cleaning and sealing products, it will look like the paint stains never happened.
Most DIY cleaning articles may tell you to clean up paint with bleach, ammonia or white vinegar. These chemicals may work, but they also aren’t really cleaning the grout, and many of these chemicals can cause the grout to crack or break.
