The U.S. government has opened a formal investigation into Tesla’s Autopilot partially automated driving system after a series of collisions with parked emergency vehicles.
Three Central Florida restaurants received emergency orders to shut down in the week of Aug. 8-14, according to data from the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation.
NHTSA opens safety probe into Tesla Autopilot crashes
The investigation was opened Friday and covers Tesla models Y, S, X and 3 from the 2014 to 2021 model years, according to a document filed by NHTSA. An estimated 765,000 vehicles could be affected.
