Wendy’s plans to open 700 delivery-only kitchens by 2025 to meet the growing demand from people who want their fast food brought to them. It’s partnering with a Florida company that runs 5,000 delivery kitchens in 30 cities worldwide.
“Our operators are seeing sales are still running ahead of 2019,” said Geoff Luebkemann, senior vice president of the Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association. “That saw a slight dip over the last week or so which we attribute to back-to-school.”
The strike, now in its second week, comes after months of bargaining between the union and the Chicago New Car Dealer Committee.
Production at GM’s three pickup plants will restart Monday, while Lansing Delta Township and Ramos Arizpe crossover production will be limited or idled.
