Disney suspends political contributions in Florida as CEO apologizes for silence on ‘don’t say gay’
Disney CEO Bob Chapek is pausing all of the company’s political donations in Florida following the passage of the “Don’t Say Gay” bill, a major escalation in his feud with Gov. Ron DeSantis. Chapek also apologized to his employees for his “silence” over the months-long debate on the bill, which he called “not just an issue about a bill in Florida, but instead yet another challenge to basic human rights.”
