Newly-elected Volusia County Chair Jeff Brower wants to restore beach driving in some prohibited areas. Cars and sand have a long history on Daytona Beach, and residents have had a hard time letting go of the past. But cars have no business on beaches, and Volusia County should completely rid itself of the relic, not expand it.
