VW planning to re-lease its used EVs as strategy to keep hold of batteries
Executives say the brand will lease used ID-family EVs, including the ID4 compact crossover, after the original leases expire through the brand’s captive finance arm. The used vehicle leases would be an extreme rarity in the industry.
