New Michelin Guide Bib Gourmand Awards announced for Orlando
Ahead of the official ceremony on May 11 in Miami, the Michelin Guide has announced eight new Florida debuts to the Bib Gourmand selection, including four in Orlando.
These include Isan Zaap, Norigami, Otto’s High Dive and Taste of Chengdu.
“It’s a dream come true,” said David Tsan, Norigami’s chef de cuisine, who was surprised by today’s announcement. “Starting out in the restaurant business I always wanted to be a part of the Micheln Guide, and now it’s happening. It’s crazy.”
Bib Gourmand restaurants offer a meal of good quality at a good value. In February, Norigami was the Critic’s Pick for Best Cheap Eats in the 2023 Orlando Sentinel Foodie Awards.

“The restaurants joining the Bib Gourmand selection prove that foodies can find flavorful international feasts right in their own backyard — in Miami, Orlando or Tampa,” said Gwendal Poullennec, international director of the Michelin Guides, in a news release. “Not only are these establishments unique for their tasty dishes and quality ingredients, but they’re also approachable in terms of price and atmosphere. The inspectors are excited about these additions, and these restaurants teams have a lot to be proud of.”

“I think this is going to bring different people to Winter Garden,” Tsan added. “They won’t just focus on the Disney area, but expand out into the city a little more and that’s exciting. It’s magic that only happens in Orlando!”
Last month, the Guide announced several other Orlando restaurants would be added to the 2023 selection, including Doshi, Edoboy, Juju, Kaya, Toledo, Twenty Pho Hour and Victoria & Albert’s.
