(AP) — Despite finding “improprieties” were committed by a prosecutor, the Connecticut Supreme Court on Monday upheld the murder conviction of a man found guilty of killing his wife in a case that drew wide attention because the victim’s Fitbit exercise tracker contradicted his statements to police.

SpaceX set for 1st Space Coast launch since booster fire
SpaceX is set to send up late Tuesday its first Falcon 9 from the Space Coast since a fire destroyed a booster after it landed.
This Falcon 9 booster is flying for the 22nd time set to launch 21 Starlink satellites from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station’s Space Launch Complex 40 targeting 10:48 p.m. with more launch options through 11:50 p.m.
High winds caused a Monday attempt to be called off.
The booster will aim for a recovery landing downrange on the droneship A Shortfall of Gravitas.
It would be the 21st launch on the Space Coast so far in 2025.
After launching the Starlink 12-20 mission on March 2, @SpaceX Falcon 9 booster 1086 landed on the droneship, Just Read the Instructions. A fire then broke out in the engine section and the booster toppled.
Its remnants arrived at @PortCanaveral today.

The 20th didn’t have a perfect ending when the booster for another Starlink launch on March 2 from Cape Canaveral landed on the company’s other East Coast-based droneship Just Read the Instructions.
China strikes back at Trump tariffs with 15% levies targeting US farmers

WASHINGTON (AP) — China retaliated against President Donald Trump’s tariffs with an additional 15% tax on key American farm products, including chicken, pork, soybeans and beef.
The escalating trade tensions punished U.S. markets Monday as investors fearful of the damage from from Trump’s trade wars put their money elsewhere.
The Chinese tariffs, announced last week, were a response to Trump’s decision to double the levy on Chinese imports to 20% on March 4. China’s Commerce Ministry had earlier said that goods already in transit would be exempt from the retaliatory tariffs until April 12.
Imposing tariffs on imports is a key part of Trump’s agenda. He believes the import taxes can raise money for the Treasury, protect American industries and pressure foreign countries to do what he wants in a range of issues, including immigration and drug trafficking.
On Wednesday, Trump is set to remove exceptions on 25% steel tariffs he imposed in 2018 — effectively raising the taxes — and raise his levy on aluminum from 10% to 25%.
