Pass the Time at Home by Cleaning Grout
COVID-19 has turned our world upside down. Many Americans are staying at home due to “stay at home” orders and because certain jobs are deemed “non-essential” and can either be done from home or people have been furloughed.
Many people are finding themselves with more time on their hands. Some people are watching a lot of TV, reading books, playing games, working out, going for a walk, learning a new hobby, and talking to friends through mobile devices. Since you’re “stuck” at home, now is a great time to get some quality cleaning in! If you didn’t have time before, you likely have more time now! Cleaning is also a great way to pass the time when you have so much time to kill.
Grout is porous and it gets dirty fast. It traps and absorbs all sorts of things including water, dirt, mold, mildew, and more. Remember that glass of wine you spilled on the floor last week? Likely, the grout sucked it up, especially if your grout isn’t sealed, which means your grout looks a little red or brown in color. Over time, your he grout will change color and darken due to all the things it is absorbing, which makes your grout look dirty.
