The Florida Senate on Wednesday approved a bill that would make permanent a move that has allowed restaurants to sell alcoholic drinks with take-home meals during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The EV rebates, part of a $2.3 trillion infrastructure and jobs proposal, could be a big boost to U.S. automakers, especially General Motors and Tesla, which no longer qualify for $7,500-per-vehicle tax credits.
The catch: the thicker and more voluminous 4680 battery cells, named after their dimensions of a 46-millimeter diameter and 80-millimeter height, are still largely unproven.
Taxes on unemployment might be refunded
Orange County’s International Drive special taxing district was set up in 1998 to help the region’s tourism industry thrive. The district did its job. Now let it go away in 2028 as scheduled so the county can spend more of that money to help tourism workers instead of their employers.
