Lawsuit claiming Toyota hid stinky AC defects passes key hurdle

A lawsuit by three Toyota owners who claim that the manufacturer concealed flaws in the air conditioning and heating systems of 2012-14 Camrys is moving forward following a recent federal court ruling granting class status to potential plaintiffs. The suit claims that flaws in the design of the HVAC systems trap moisture and contaminants that grow into mold and foul odors that are blown into the cabins, endangering occupants’ health.
