WonderWorks: Teachers get in free in May

WonderWorks Orlando, an “edu-tainment” attraction on International Drive, is offering free admission to teachers and educational support staff throughout May.

Eligible visitors must complete an online form for a voucher that will be turned in at the ticket counter at WonderWorks, which has distinctive upside-down architecture on I-Drive. They must also present their educational identification or a recent paystub to get access to the attraction.

The offer is good for Florida teachers as well as educators from outside the state.

“It’s no surprise we love all things STEM and education here at WonderWorks, and of course, we think teachers and educators are rock stars. This special event shows our appreciation for all they do,” Davianys Ramos, education sales manager at WonderWorks Orlando, said in a news release.

Educators with the free access can bring up to four guests at a discounted admission rate of 50% off. Regularly priced tickets currently start at $36.99 for adults.

WonderWorks features more than 100 hands-on exhibits including activities about light, sound, pressure, space discover, extreme conditions, a bed of nails and the Astronaut Training Challenge. It also offers a glow-in-the-dark ropes course and laser tag,
