SeaWorld shares full Howl-O-Scream lineup of haunted houses, scare zones
SeaWorld Orlando has revealed its entire lineup of five haunted houses and seven scare zones for this year’s Howl-O-Scream, which begins Sept. 8.
The Halloween event will be a mix of fresh and returning themes. The houses for 2023 will include newbies Beneath the Ice —The Meltdown (“The hottest rescue attempt ever made,” the SeaWorld news release says); Dead Vines: Nawlin’s Nightmare (gators plus gravestones); and D3LER1UM666 Laboratories, set below the surface of the sea in an “inescapable research headquarters.”
“Reimagined” returnees include Captain’s Revenge: Drowned in Darkness and Blood Beckoning.
The two new scare zones will be Toxic Turmoil (landfill, hungry plants); Blood Light District; and Carn-EVIL Pier (demented clowns). Returning zones will be Frozen in Terror: Alive in the Ice, Portal of Passage, Terrors of the Deep and Witchcraft Bayou.

Howl-O-Scream also includes a stage production featuring a Jack the Ripper character called “Monster Stomp” and the “Siren’s Song” show. Some attractions, including the new Pipeline coaster, will be available during Howl-O-Scream.
Gatorland’s Halloween event stars midway monsters, cursed cowboys
Tickets for the after-hours event are now on sale, including multi-night options and packages that include an evening at the sister Howl-O-Scream at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay. SeaWorld Orlando’s Halloween Spooktacular, a more kid-friendly/trick-or-treat event included in regular park admission, begins Sept. 16.
