Orange County will continue to accept applications for its Eviction Diversion program through January 29. “We are simply trying to keep people in their homes,” Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings said. The program helps rent-stressed tenants and landlords agree on a payment arrangement that prevents eviction. Nearly 2,800 families have been able to stay in their homes because of the program, Demings said.
