As DeSantis tackles coronavirus, Supreme Court picks, 200 pending laws and the state budget have to wait
Gov. Ron DeSantis has two months to act on a $93 billion budget, nearly 200 bills passed by the Legislature, and has already blown through two deadlines to fill two Florida Supreme Court vacancies. He’s been solely focused on the state’s response to the coronavirus, but a spokeswoman said he’ll take the necessary time to vet the court appointees and review the bills before making decisions.
