Icon Park adds annual passes for Wheel, carousel
Icon Park is introducing its first annual pass, which will allow Florida residents to make unlimited rounds on its Wheel attraction and the Carousel on the Promenade for 12 months.
The pass price is $49.99 per person, and it’s available for a limited (although unspecified) time, according to the attraction’s website. The pass is valid for one year, starting with the day of purchase.
The pass includes a 25% discount at the Wheel’s retail store with purchase of $25 or more as well as 20% off food and beverage at establishments within the Wheelhouse at the base of the Wheel.
A single trip on the 400-foot-tall observation wheel typically costs $29.99 when purchased online. The annual pass does not include other Icon Park attractions such as Madame Tussauds Orlando or Sea Life Orlando Aquarium, but the entertainment complex offers multiple package deals.
The Wheel opened with Icon Park in 2015. It offers an up-high perspective of Central Florida landmarks as well as downtown Orlando. An add-on game called Great Florida Road Trip was introduced to the experience this spring. The carousel, located near the attraction’s front lawn, opened last year. It features 30 animal figures including horses, deer, zebras and sea dragons. Rides on the merry-go-round are normally $5.
Museum of Illusions makes attraction spooky, invites costumed dogs for a day
Icon Park, located on Orlando’s International Drive, is planning a Halloweekend event Oct. 26-31 featuring haunted holiday light show on the Wheel, spooky photo ops and 50 percent off Wheel tickets. Costumed kids get a carousel ride for free during the event.
The Wheelhouse is broadcasting NFL and college football games on a 10-foot by 20-foot screen on weekends throughout the season.
