BMW is recalling 291,112 vehicles due to rear cargo rails detaching in the event of a crash, increasing the risk of serious injury. Following a crash involving a 2022 BMW X3, BMW North America and BMW AG were legally served. An investigation led to the voluntary recall of 2018-23 BMW X3 models on July 17.
