SpaceX is set to send up another batch of Starlink satellites from the Space Coast on Wednesday night using a first-stage booster for a record-tying 19th time.

A Falcon 9 rocket carrying 23 of SpaceX’s internet satellites is set to launch targeting 9:25 p.m. (pushed from 7:29 and 7:51 p.m.) during a four-hour window that runs from 7:29-11:29 p.m. flying from Kennedy Space Center’s Launch Pad 39-A. Backup opportunities are available during a four-hour window Thursday that opens at 7:04 p.m.

Space Launch Delta 45’s weather squadron forecasts a 60% chance for good conditions with upper level wind shear a concern. That improves to 95% in the event of a one-day delay.

The first-stage booster could equal the total number of flights by two of SpaceX’s other boosters, one of which, though, was destroyed when it toppled over at sea.

This booster’s resume includes two human spaceflights, the Inspiration4 orbital mission flown by billionaire Jared Issacman and the first private spaceflight for Axiom Space on its Ax-1 mission to the International Space Station. The high-speed train connecting Miami to Orlando plans to add another stop along the way as Brightline officials said Tuesday it would put a station in Cocoa.

The new stop could draw residents from Central and South Florida as well as tourists flying into Orlando International Airport providing easier access to the cruise ships at Port Canaveral and other attractions in Brevard County.

“Brightline is ready to begin the formal process with Space Coast stakeholders to fulfill our vision for a Brevard County station,” said Katie Mitzner, director of public affairs for Brightline in an email. “The Space Coast (Transportation Planning Organization), Brevard County, City of Cocoa and other community leaders have started to bring the region together to identify potential federal, state and local resources for a station to be located in Cocoa. We agree the time is now to finalize a plan.”

No timeline for when the Cocoa station might become a reality was announced.

“The City of Cocoa has met with Brightline executives and is ready to move forward with negotiations for a Cocoa Station located near S.R. 528 and U.S. 1,” said Cocoa Mayor Michael C. Blake in an emailed statement. “We will now begin to coordinate with community stakeholders to present a financial proposal to Brightline.” read more

Whether women earn a post-secondary certificate or graduate from a top-tier university, they still make about 71 cents on the dollar compared with men at the same education level, Census Bureau research found.
